Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What games are being played at the LAN party?

Answer: Some really cool games. If you have a game that you think would be great for the LAN party, email events@garagegames.com

Question: How do I show off my game?

Answer: One of the main reasons we have a ShowOFF center filled with lots of top-of-the-line computers is for you to show off your game. Just load up the game on computers and then get people to play.

Question: Do I have to bring my own computer for the LAN party?

Answer: There is no need for you to bring your own computer. (But feel free to bring your LAN rig and importantly a power strip because a LAN party can always use more computers.)

Question: What should I wear?

Answer: The average temperature in Eugene in the early part of October is normally in the 50s in the day and 40s in the night (Fahrenheit). There also might be a brief rain shower or two during IndieGamesCon, so bring appropriate rain gear if you have it. (Though the conference will be inside for most of the day.)

Question: Does it rain all the time in Eugene?

Answer: That depends on where you are standing. Seriously, there is always a possibility of rain in the forecast, so just be prepared.

Question: Can someone give me a ride from the airport?

Answer: You can always check out the Ride-Share Forum Thread on the GarageGames website.

Question: How do I nominate my game for IGC Player’s Choice Award?

Answer: Just make sure you get lots of people to play your game and pimp your game shamelessly. IGC Player’s Choice Award is chosen by the players of the games, thereby maintaining its name of IGC Player’s Choice Award.
