Conference

Conference 2007

Indie Games Con (IGC) is an uncommon meeting of independent developers who share a common interest in collaboration and community building. More than just a seminar, IGC is an unprecedented opportunity to meet other Indie developers, professional guest developers and hardware manufacturers. IGC strikes a unique balance between informative sessions, developer networking, product showcasing, awards and of course plenty of fun.

Round Table Discussions

Responding to feedback from previous IGCs, this year’s sessions will take the form of group discussions rather than formal sessions. These focused group discussions are a great way to share and debate a number of topics with other developers, from art process to business, marketing and programming. Look for a wiki to be posted online soon to allow for the posting of desired and suggested discussion topics.

Show-Off Center

The Show-Off Center is available to all conference attendees who want to “show-off” what they have been working on - everything from finished titles to works in progress. This offers a great chance to take an early look at games in the pipe as well as an opportunity to get valuable feedback.

IGC Player’s Choice Awards

Several awards will be given out to attendees exhibiting in the Show-Off Center. All awards are based on attendee votes, and awards will be given in several categories, so don’t forget to cast your ballot.

Late Night Gaming and LAN Party

We don’t close the doors at 5pm on the 10th (Wed), so there will be plenty of time to socialize and network with other developers. Poker, board games, and of course, LAN games will all be available. If you have a multiplayer game the LAN party is always a great place to stress test your creation and have some fun.
